Norman S. Daigle
Norman S. Daigle, 91, of Sanford passed away on Tuesday, September 1, 2020 at the Pinnacle Health and Rehabilitation Center in Sanford.He was born on December 13, 1928 to James and Bridget (Digman) Daigle in Sanford where he was a lifelong resident.Norman served in the U.S. Marines in 1946. He was at one time a member of the American Legion in Sanford.Being an avid outdoorsman, he especially loved hunting and fishing with his sons. He also shared many great memories of camping with his daughter Donna and her family. He and his wife loved to travel with their friends of the Good Sam RV club, where he proudly held the title of the "Wagon Master". He liked to celebrate at the holidays and was the life of the party.He is predeceased by his wife of 64 years, Yvette Daigle who passed in 2017, a sister Marion (Daigle, Smith)Parhsley, and a nephew Harold Smith.Survivors include two sons, Daniel Daigle and his wife Irene (Bergeron) Daigle of Springvale and James Daigle and his partner Kim Hartford, of Casco and her children Kayla and Tianah Fisher, and his daughter Donna Rhine and her partner Todd Demers of Milan, NH, grandchildren, Sarah Daigle of Hawaii and Jayson Daigle of ME, and Alexis Rhine of CA, and Andrew Rhine of NH, a nephew Gregory Parshley and a very close cousin Violet St. Jean.A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 8 at 11:00 A.M. at Lafrance - Lambert & Black Funeral Home, 29 Winter St., Sanford with an hour of visitation prior.
