Norma Allain

Norma J. Allain, 79, of Sanford, died on Tuesday, September 28, 2010 after abrief illness. Norma was born in Sanford on December 29, 1930 to Hubert and Gladys(Atkinson) Rodgers and attended local schools graduating from Sanford HighSchool. Following high school she attended beauty School in Boston. In1951 she married Joseph Allain. She owned and operated her own beauty shopin Sanford for 40 years. Norma was an avid reader and flower gardener. She enjoyed the ocean andsummered for many years at Wells Beach. Her life was centered around herfamily. She was particularly devoted to her grandsons and spent time withthem every day. She will be remembered as a devoted mother and grandmotherand will be dearly missed by her family and friends. Norma was predeceased by her husband Joseph Allain. Surviving are her son, Thomas Allain and his wife Karen and her grandsons,Jacob and Joshua Allain all of Sanford.
