Nicole M. Robichaud
Nicole M. Robichaud, 78, of Sanford, died at her home on Monday, May 7, 2012, surrounded by her family, after a courageous three year battle with pancreatic cancer.Nicole was born in Canada on October 29, 1933 to Albert and Albertine (Daigle) Albert, the seventh of 12 children. She lived in Madawaska until relocating to Cumberland in 1973. In 1980, she married her beloved husband, Norman Robichaud. In 1996 Nicole and Norman retired from their careers at Kraft Foods and Yellow Freight System and relocated to San Marcos, CA. They spent five years in California where they were very active in social affairs but eventually returned to Maine because they missed their family. Nicole's positive, loving outlook on life touched everybody she came into contact with. She always did whatever she could to help and comfort those around her despite her own health problems. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend and will be dearly missed. May her many friends now keep her in their prayers.Surviving are her husband of 32 years, Norman Robichaud of Sanford; five children and one step daughter, Richard Picard of Kennebunk, Patricia Walrath and her husband Dr. Daniel of Burlington, WI, Jacqueline Dunham of California, MD, Elaine Picard of Portland, Suzanne Patterson and her husband Mark of Sanford and Pamela Henderson and her husband Rick of Buxton; five grandchildren, Kim Twambley of Alexandria, VA, Teri Dunham of Wilmington, DE, Devan Picard of Chicago, IL, and Ian and Colin Patterson of Sanford; four siblings, Doris Albert and Corinne Cyr, both of Edmundston, New Brunswick, Canada, Gloria Parent of Montreal, Quebec, Canada and Guy Albert and his wife Yvonne of Enfield, CT and countless nephews, nieces and cousins.A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, May 11th at the North Parish Congregational Church located at 893 Main Street in Sanford. A gathering will be held in the vestry following the service.
