Nancy Ann Lincourt

January 11, 1944 ~ March 8, 2025

Born in: SANFORD, Maine
Resided in: Sanford, Maine

Nancy Ann Lincourt, a loving wife, mother and lifelong resident of Sanford, passed away on March 8, 2025, shortly after her 81st birthday.

Nancy was born in 1944, the youngest child of Ronald A. Vezeau and Irene C. Vezeau.  The family lived on Bennett Court in Sanford. Nancy graduated from Sanford High School in 1962.

Nancy married her beloved husband, Dr. Robert B. Lincourt, on June 18, 1966. They raised four children and were married almost 59 years. They lived in Buffalo, New York while Bob attended dental school. They welcomed their first child, Steven, born in October 1967 at Goodall Hospital in Sanford (during the World Series, which the Red Sox lost in a heartbreaker). Susan and Sandra, identical twins, were born in 1970 in Great Lakes, Illinois, where Bob was completing his Naval tour of duty. After moving back to Sanford, the family eventually settled into their home on Redcoat Lane. They soon welcomed their youngest daughter Stacey in 1975.

Nancy loved spending time with her family. She enjoyed weekend trips to the White Mountains, where her father and brother both built chalets along the Saco River in Bartlett, NH. She also spent time with family at Mousam Lake, and annual summer vacations at Wells Beach. Nancy was a hard worker. She managed the business affairs of Bob’s dental practice in Sanford for nearly four decades. She dedicated all of her free time caring for her husband, four children, and parents. She was very close to her parents, especially her mother Irene, who she considered her best friend. Nancy enjoyed sewing (a talent she inherited from her seamstress mother) and made several Halloween costumes for her children. She loved to joke and laugh and was often the life of the party. Her family and friends will miss her forever.

Nancy was predeceased by her son, Steven Lincourt, her parents Ronald and Irene

Vezeau, and her older brother, Robert R. Vezeau. Nancy is survived by her husband, Bob; her daughter Sandra Butler and husband, Steven of Sanford; her daughter Susan Shain and husband Jeff of Sanford; her daughter Stacey Morin and her husband Brad of Sanford; daughter in law Ester Lincourt of Florida; grandchildren Zachary Shain and wife, Brittany Card; Alex Shain and wife, Lauren; Ethan Shain; Dominic Lincourt; Benjamin Lincourt; Renee Morin and Andrew Morin; and one great-granddaughter, Emma Sue Shain.

  7. Although it had many years since having had any contact with Nancy, I do fondly remember her from the days of when she was the office assistant for her husband, Bob. She was always so friendly and polite. I was surprised went I went into the office one day to find that someone else was doing the work that she had so diligently done for years.

My thoughts and prayers go out to Bob and Nancy’s family and friends. She will be sadly missed by everyone whose lives touched her.

  8. Dear Bob, Stacy, and family. We are so saddened to hear of Nancy’s passing. Although we have been gone from Sanford for 37 years, we still speak of the beautiful friendship between our daughter , Bridget, and sweet Stacy. Please know that your family is in our every thought and prayer at this time. Nancy surely was one amazing lady and this world shall miss her so. Earth has lost a beautiful soul, but, truly, Heaven has gained one. God bless you all with His peace, comfort, and great love. Love, the Stauffer family( Saratoga Springs, NY)
