Mitchel W. Thorpe

Mitchel W. Thorpe, 35, of Sanford, passed away on May 25, 2020. He was born in Portland on October 21, 1984 a son of Walter and Joyce (Curit) Thorpe.He attended local Gorham schools. He was very proud of his service in the US Army. He was the recipient of the National Defense Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Marksman Marksmanship Badge with Rifle Bar.Mitchel was a Master Mason belonging to the Old Orchard and Biddeford Lodge's.He was currently employed at Seacoast Automotive in Saco where he worked as a motorcycle mechanic.He is survived by his parents, Walter and Joyce Thorpe, sister, Leona Thorpe, grandmother, Sandra Thorpe, many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.Services will be private with military honors at the Southern Maine Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Springvale.Condolences may be expressed at www.blackfuneralhomes.com
