Mildred M. Michaud, 83, of Lebanon, passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday, August 24, 2024.
Mildred was born on June 8, 1941, in Derry, New Hampshire, to the late George and Yvonne (LeBel) Fossett, Mildred lived a life marked by hard work, creativity, and deep love for her family and friends.
Throughout her career, Mildred dedicated herself to several local businesses, including Allied Shoe, Nike Shoe, and Potvin Market, before retiring from Corning Life Science in Kennebunk in August of 2004. Her dedication and strong work ethic were evident in everything she did.
In her free time, Mildred found great joy in crafting, playing cards and games with loved ones, enjoying walks on the beach, and savoring the pleasures of dancing and dining. She had a knack for bringing people together and creating lasting memories, and her warmth and generosity touched the lives of everyone who knew her.
Mildred was predeceased by her beloved husband, Raymond A. Michaud, her parents, her siblings Margaret Martin, Mary Jane Scarano, and Walter Casavant, and her grandson, Brandon Peck of Lebanon.
She leaves behind two children, Anne-Marie Peck of Homosassa, Florida, and Stephen E. Leonard of Hollis; four grandchildren, Jessica Pettingill of Port St. Lucie, Florida, Jennifer Renee Leonard of Kingman, Arizona, Anthony Langella of Old Orchard Beach, and Brian Scott Leonard of Kingman, Arizona, as well as several great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during a visitation on Monday, September 9th from 9:00 to 10:00 AM., followed by a service at 10:00 AM at the Carll-Heald & Black Funeral Home, 580 Main Street, Springvale. Interment will follow at Forrest Grove Cemetery in Lebanon, where Mildred will be laid to rest beside her loved ones.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that those wishing to express their sympathy consider planting a tree in Mildred’s memory or making a donation to a local animal shelter, reflecting her love for nature and animals.
I am so sorry for the loss of this beautiful lady. I am going to miss her so much!
Aunt Millie was such a sweet part of our families lives. She was always there for us, her friendship and sisterhood with my dear mother was priceless!
We loved her so much! I know she is with all her loved ones, laughing and playing games. Rest in peace Aunt Millie! Thank you for everything.
