Michael R. Sprague

Michael Ryan Sprague, 49, passed away on January 21, 2020 in Peoria, AZ, after a lengthy battle with cancer.Mike was born on July 16, 1970, in Sanford, Maine, the son of Ralph Sprague and Elaine Pare. He graduated from Sanford High School in 1989 and moved from Maine to Arizona in 1996. He worked at several maintenance jobs and eventually started his own home inspection company, 5 Star Inspections.Mike wanted to be a drummer from the time he was little and bought his first drum set at the age of 14 with money he saved up from working on weekends with his father. He had a passion for hard rock and heavy metal and became an excellent drummer, playing in several bands, both in Maine and Arizona.Mike is survived by his parents and stepmother, Irene Sprague: his brothers, Steven Sprague and Gary Sprague; his sister Cyndi Zinderman; and several nieces and nephews.Services for Mike will be determined at a later date.Condolences may be expressed at www.blackfuneralhomes.com
