Michael Lee

Michael William Lee, age 60, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, September 9, 2008. He was born June 5, 1948 in Sanford, ME to Wallace and Rosalie Lee. Michael grew up and attended high school in Westwood Massachusetts. He attended Burdett College in Boston. He first moved Columbus, OH in 1979 and later returned to Gahanna, OH in 1999 after living for a time in Malta, NY. Michael's career was spent in the insurance and financial planning industry. He was an adventurer, whose interests included flying, sailing, sky diving, golf and motorcycling. In his younger days he was an avid mountain climber. He had recently renewed his faith in God and became a member of New Life Church located in Gahanna, OH. Mike was preceded in death by his mother Rosalie and sisters, Cathy and Carol Lee; He is survived by his girlfriend, Carol Bailey; children, Gregory (Michelle) Lee, Jeffrey (Christine Delcore) Lee, and Taylor Lee, whom he loved like a daughter; his father, Wallace Lee; grandchildren, Brianna, Alexander, Zachary, Rosemarie and Ryan Lee; many friends, business associates and other relatives. Family will receive friends 1-5pm Sunday, September 14, 2008 at SCHOEDINGER NORTHEAST CHAPEL, 1051 E. Johnstown Rd. (Rte. 62 at Beecher Rd.), Gahanna, OH 43230 where services will be held Monday at Noon; Dr. Gary W. Exman, officiating; Interment will be Wednesday at 3:00 PM in Oakdale Cemetery, Sanford, ME, with the Rev. Virginia Gass officiating.
