Melanie L. Moreau

Melanie L. Moreau, 57 of Acton, Maine, died at her home on Tuesday, May 9, 2018.Melanie was born in Saugus, Massachusetts on April 6, 1961 to Lester and Virginia Leedham. When she was a teenager her family moved to Westbrook where she attended Catherine McAuley High School. In 1982 she met Gregory Moreau and they were married in 1987 and together they raised four children and shared 31 years of marriage. She was employed as a medical technician at St. Andre's Home in Biddeford where she was loved by both her patients and coworkers. Melanie loved to go fishing and enjoyed many fishing trips over the years to Hatfield Pond in Lebanon. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother and loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was a kind and loving woman who was cherished by everyone who knew her and will be dearly missed by her family and friends.Melanie was predeceased by her son Peter Moreau in January.Surviving are he husband, Greg Moreau of Acton; three children, Jessica Palamar and her husband Hussein of Portsmouth, Christopher Moreau and his companion Christie Sroka of Acton and Benjamin Moreau and his wife Hayleigh Cabana of Acton; three grandchildren, Amir and Saida Palamar and Mason Moreau; her brother, Lester Leedham of Massachusetts and her close family friend, Sheila Bedell of Acton.Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 8:00 PM on Wednesday, May 16th at the Carll-Heald & Black Funeral Home located at 580 Main Street in Springvale. Interment will be held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, May 23rd at the Southern Maine Veterans Memorial Cemetery located on Stanley Road in Springvale.Arrangements are under the direction of Black Funeral Homes and Cremation Service, Sanford-Springvale.To leave a message of condolence for the family please click on the condolences tab to the left.
