South Portland- Megan J. Maietta, 31, passed unexpectedly on Sunday, October 4, 2015. Megan was born in Portland, Maine on October 22, 1983 the daughter of James D. Maietta and Mary J. Welch. She attended Holy Cross School and graduated from South Portland High School in the Class of 2002. She was a licensed cosmetologist upon graduating from Spa Tech. Megan loved spending time with her sisters, family and friends and her dog Kali. The light and joy of her life truly was her son Anthony. She had a great sense of humor, a deep caring for others, and always wanted to make everyone feel happy in her presences. Her bubbly personality and bright smile was very comforting. She was a beautiful person inside and out. Her laugh, smile and unconditional love will be missed by many. Megan was predeceased by both her maternal and paternal grandparents. She is survived by her father James D. and his wife Sherrie Maietta of South Portland and her mother Mary J. Welch and her companion Edward Noyes of Buxton; a son Anthony J. Klenda of South Portland; three sisters Jamie L Maietta of Windham, Rebecca R. Maietta of Saco and Emily E. Maietta of Saco; many aunts, uncles and cousins. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, October 8, 2015 at 11:00am at Holy Cross Church, 124 Cottage Road, South Portland. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Broadway, South Portland. Arrangements are under the direction of the Conroy-Tully Crawford Funeral Home, 1024 Broadway, South Portland, Maine.   3. Jeff and I were so sad to hear the news! She was a bright light the few times she crossed our paths! Never a mean word and always a big beautiful smile! I will never forget when she pulled up at Jeff’s parents house with our family dog that had just run away!! She just saved her by letting this strange dog jump in her car off route one in sopo! She didn’t hesitate! Megan had a big heart!

Megan you were to me the daughter I always wanted and you will always be on my mind and also in my Heart .I just wish someone could of been their the moment you were in trouble that took you away from me your mom and your 3 sisters that are like you Beautiful young women that will always be there for Anthony and I know he’s going to miss his momma so so much so just let my say I am so hurt and so sick that this happened to such a BEAUTIFUL young gentle caring person like you and something needs to be done to stop family’s from losing their children I Love you so very much and I won’t miss you because you’ll be in my HEART witch is so much in pain right now .
