Mavis L. Berube

Mavis L. Berube, 83, of Sanford, died December 31 at the Greenwood Center in Sanford after a lengthy illness.She was born in South Berwick on March 20, 1927, the daughter of Levi and Mary (Brisard) Carpentier, attended local schools and was a graduate of Berwick Academy.Mavis worked for a time as a bookkeeper.She moved to Sanford in 1995, having lived previously in California and Somersworth, NH.She was predeceased by her son, Larry Berube in 1977.Survivors include her daughter, Karen Veilleux of Sanford, granddaughter Christie LeClair, her husband Jestin and their daughter Kaylin of Rochester, NH, granddaughter Angela Mitchell, her husband Fred and their daughters Lillie and Emmie of Sanford, and granddaughter Jessica Rollins and her husband Justin of Lebanon.Services will be private.Arrangements are under the direction of the Carll-Heald & Black Funeral Home, 580 Main Street, Springvale.
