  3. John and I are saddened by the loss of Maureen; she was a warm and generous presence in our lives when we lived next door. We remember well when she and Charlie first moved in and came to visit. We enjoyed the stories about Sanford that they shared, having grown up here. Over the years, we got to know their children and grandchildren. Maureen was a fine example to us all in her ability to cope with the loss of her beloved Charlie and to gracefully carry on looking after her family and finding new pursuits after she retired. We offer our sincere condolences to all her family and friends. She will be greatly missed.
