SOUTH PORTLAND - Matthew J. Foster, 23, of South Portland, died Wednesday, June 22, 2016. Born in Portland on September 6, 1992, Matthew was the son of Mark and Anne (Littlefield) Foster. He attended Holy Cross School and graduated from South Portland High School Class of 2011. Very competitive in nature, Matt was a talented athlete who loved all sports, and excelled in golf where he played at the collegiate level. He had a heart of gold and always put others needs before his. Above all else, Matt loved his family dearly and held them close to his heart. Matt was welcomed into Heaven by his mother, Anne Foster, who passed away in 2009, and his grandparents, John and Sylvia Foster, and Nancy Littlefield. He is survived by his father, Mark Foster of South Portland; sisters, Danielle Foster and fiance Eliot Pickering, Michelle Foster and Grace Foster, all of South Portland. Also survived by his grandfather, Michael Littlefield of FL; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and close friends. Visiting Hours will be held on Monday, June 27 from 4-8PM at the Conroy-Tully Walker South Portland Chapel, 1024 Broadway, South Portland.
