Mathew Richard Coppola, 22, of Sanford passed away suddenly on Sunday, June 20, 2020. He was born on September 17, 1997 in Tucson, AZ and moved to Maine as a child attending Sanford schools and graduated from Sanford High School in 2016.Mat was a CNA for MAS Healthcare which and was the best caregiver ever. He loved to go fishing. He loved making people laugh and taking care of whoever he could. He loved singing his music and dancing around "ya dig" was his words. He loved his mom and his Jillian. He loved the ocean and walking on the beach. He loved the red Sox and the Bruins!!! He loved his Twisted Teas and his Allagash beer.He was the sunshine in his mother's world and the laughter in her soul. He will be dearly missed.He is survived by his mother Theresa Pelletier and John Mavrakos, his Grammy April Powell, aunt Denise Longfellow, grandmother Judith Coppola, uncle Lucas Longfellow, cousins Seth Powell, Alexander Longfellow and Bradley Longfellow, his stepfather Normand Pelletier, his father Richard Coppola and his wife Melissa, and sister Vanessa Coppola Coppola, and his lovely girlfriend and soul mate Jillian Roberts.A time of visitation will be held on Monday, June 29, 2020 from 2:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M. at Carll-Heald & Black Funeral Home, 580 Main St., Springvale.
