Mary Quirion, 81, of Sanford, passed away on Tuesday, December 3, 2024 at the Gosnell Memorial Hospice House in Scarborough.
Mary was born on May 27, 1943, in Melrose, Massachusetts, to Joseph and Helen Finn.
She grew up in Melrose and in Goose Rock, Maine.
After high school, Mary moved permanently to Maine. She had 4 children, Deborah A. Conte, Roy W. Danis, Michael E. Danis, and James R. Danis all who were raised in Arundel/ Biddeford Maine.
Mary was a long-term employee of Meals on Wheels of Southern Maine. She enjoyed going on cruises and was a devout Catholic and had been a communicant of St. Therese of Lisieux Parish in Sanford.
Mary was predeceased by her husband, Roger Quirion and by her son-in-law, Raymond Martineau.
Surviving are her children Deborah A. Conte, Roy W. Danis and his wife Nancy, Michael E. Danis, and James R. Danis of and his wife Elizabeth; her adopted daughter, Cecile Martineau and her step-daughter, Connie Helstowski and her husband Stanley and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She will be missed greatly by all.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:30 AM on Friday, December 6th at the St. Therese of Lisieux Parish, Holy Family Church. Interment will follow at the Southern Maine Veterans Cemetery located on Stanley Road in Springvale.
Arrangements are under the direction of Black Funeral Homes and Cremation Service, Sanford-Springvale.
