South Portland- Mary M. Dunn, 90, of Broadway, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 6, 2015 with her loving family by her side. She was born in Baltimore, Maryland on April 15, 1925 the daughter of the late Charles and Mary Elizabeth Pessagno Riess. She attended Baltimore schools. Mary married Bernard E. Dunn III and together moved to the Orlando/Kissimmee, FL area for Bernards work at Lockheed-Martin before settling in South Portland after retiring. She loved spending time with Bernard, the love of her life. Together they loved to travel and would often take spontaneous trips. She loved animals and was always working on some project around the house. Mary was a longtime communicant of Holy Cross Church. Mary was predeceased by her husband Bernard E. Dunn III, a sister Margaret Ledbetter, two brothers Charles and Jack Riess and a great great granddaughter Avery Smith. She is survived by three daughters JoAnn and her husband Kenneth Cook of Waynesboro, PA, Cheryl Crawford of St. Cloud, FL and Gigi and her husband Andrew Coulombe of South Portland; 10 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and 1 great great granddaughter. Several nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, August 20, 2015, 11:00am at Holy Cross Church, 124 Cottage Road, South Portland. Burial will be in Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Bangor at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are under the direction of Conroy-Tully Crawford Funeral Home, 1024 Broadway, South Portland, ME.
