Mary Antoinette "Toni" BoothbyPARSONSFIELD AND LAKE WALES, FL - Mary A. Boothby, 83, beloved wife of Daniel Chase Boothby, died of pneumonia and complications of kidney failure, April 5, 2004, at Winter Haven Hospital in Florida. She was born Oct. 16, 1920 in Fall River, MA, the eldest daughter of Charles and Regina (Pineault) Buckley. She graduated from Durfee High School in 1937 and was employed as an executive secretary for the purchasing agent of Arkwright Corporation. Mrs. Boothby also worked as a model. Mary married Daniel Boothby in 1944 and they would have celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on May 22nd this year. Mrs. Boothby enjoyed being a homemaker and served as a leader of 4-H and Girl Scout troops. She was also active with the civic and garden clubs. Mrs. Boothby was very artistic and enjoyed painting, flower arranging, needlework and quilting. She loved to read and was an avid gardener. She also enjoyed playing golf and lawn bowling with friends. Mrs. Boothby is survived by her husband, Daniel Chase Boothby of Parsonsfield and Lake Wales, FL; two daughters, Linda Marsh of North Yarmouth and Deborah DuBois and husband, Douglas of Parsonsfield; her sister, Margaret Newbury of Fall River, MA and her brother, Charles Buckley of New Bedford, MA; three grandchildren, Christopher Sias, Jessica McGittigan and Caleb DuBois; and two great-grandchildren, Riley Elizabeth and Victoria Grace McGittigan. Funeral services will be held Friday, April 9, at 11:30 AM at the Heald Funeral Home, 580 Main Street, Springvale, ME with Rev. Franklin Anderson officiating.Friends and family are invited to come to a calling hour on Thursday, April 8th, from 8 to 9 PM and also one hour prior to funeral services. Committal prayers and burial will be held in May at the Maplewood Cemetery in Parsonsfield, ME. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the: Kidney Foundation of Maine P.O.
