Mary F. Boivin

Mary F. Boivin, 77, of Lebanon, passed away at her residence surrounded by her family on Friday, May 8, 2009. She was born in Syria, Virginia on June 6, 1931, a daughter of Joseph and Alice (Hurt) Laverriere. At a young age the family moved to Biddeford where she attended local schools.After marrying Charles Boivin they moved to Sanford in 1950 and they raised her family of seven children. Mary was employed at the Sanford Dress and York Heel Company. She received her C.N.A. diploma through H.D. Goodall Hospital and was employed as a C.N.A., at Hillcrest Manor for 23 years, retiring in 1996.She is predeceased by her husband, Charles Boivin, who passed away in 1978. She is also predeceased by a son, David Boivin who passed away in 1980 and a sister, Lucille Leach.She is survived by her children, Daniel Boivin of Lebanon, Carl Boivin of Lebanon, Steven Boivin of Waterboro, Sylvia Valliere of Lebanon, Brenda Boivin of Lebanon and Gloria Clark of Sanford, one sister, Dorothy Petrin of Arundel, one brother, Maurice Laverriere of Arundel, 14 grandchildren and five great grandchildren.A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, May 13th at 11AM at St. Therese of Lisieux Parish, Holy Family Church in Sanford. Burial will be at the Maine Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Augusta.In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to the Maine Children's Cancer Program, 100 Campus Drive, Scarborough, Maine 04074-9308.Arrangements are under the direction of the Lafrance-Lambert & Black Funeral Home, 29 Winter Street, Sanford.To leave the family a message of condolence please use the "condolences" tab to the left.
