PORTLAND - Martin Joseph Reagan, 59, died unexpectedly at his residence on March 11, 2013. He was born in Portland, a son of John P. and Theresa McLinden Reagan. He attended St. Dominic's Grammar School and was a 1972 graduate of Portland High School. Marty worked for the City of Portland for almost 34 years, retiring from the Parks and Cemetery Division in 2007. He liked all kinds of animals. He walked the ducks at Evergreen to their winter pens and back to the pond in the Spring. He fed the ducks daily and even went out on his day off. He also fed pigeons daily near his home and had a pet turtle named "Speedy" for 24 years. He was a member of the Irish American Club and loved all things Irish. Marty also enjoyed playing cribbage. Marty was predeceased by his parents. He is survived by a brother John P. Reagan, Jr. and his wife, Margo of Wells; two sisters, Catherine P. Porpura of Lawrence, MA and Theresa M. Jendrasko, and her husband, Benjamin, of Standish; a step-daughter, Chantel Whitney of South Portland; four nieces and nephews and five great nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held from 4:00 - 8:00pm on Thursday, March 14,at the Conroy-Tully Crawford Funeral Home, 172 State Street, Portland. Prayers will be recited at the funeral home at 9:15am on Friday, March 15 followed by a 10:00am Mass of Christian Burial at Sacred Heart/St. Dominic's Church, corner of Mellen and Sherman Streets, Portland.
