Scarborough – Martha (Pike) Weimer, 82, formerly of Colebrook, NH, passed away on May 27, 2025, in Scarborough, surrounded by friends and family. She was born on January 23, 1943, in Portland, the daughter of the late C. Willard and Lucille (Marshall) Pike.
Martha graduated from Colebrook Academy in 1961. Following high school, she attended hairdressing school in Manchester, NH, and soon returned to Colebrook to open her own salon, “Miss Martha’s.” A passionate entrepreneur, she continued to grow her impact on the community by opening and operating Sims Bowling Lanes from 1974 to 1986. In time, they added “Spare Time Pizza Pub” to the business—where she personally made the pizzas and subs, and cherished connecting with customers. Small-town life and familiar faces brought her real joy.
Throughout her life, Martha continued to pursue business ventures that reflected her interests and style. She ran a home and kitchen shop called “The Added Touch” and later opened an antique store, “Second Time Around.” Whether in business or daily life, Martha loved people and enjoyed being part of her community.
She proudly supported her son, Jay, through his academic and athletic years, never missing a basketball or baseball game. Her devotion to family was evident in all she did.
Martha also gave back through her volunteer work with Easter Seals, local blood drives, and fundraising efforts for the March of Dimes.
Though she didn’t seek the spotlight, Martha thrived in the company of others. She was caring, sociable, and fun-loving. She had a sweet tooth and a love for good food—especially when shared with friends and family!
Martha was predeceased by her husband, George Weimer Sr. She is survived by her son, Jay, and his wife, Lynne Cross; grandchildren, Ben Rautenberg, Mason, and Emerson Cross; and a close family friend, Ray Garneau.
The family extends heartfelt thanks to the staff at Scarborough Terrace and Compassus Hospice for their compassionate care and support.
