Martha C. Jowett

Martha C. Jowett, 69, died Thursday at the Greenwood Center in Sanford following a long illness. She was born in Lewiston June 10, 1939, the daughter of George & Yvonne (D'amour ) Coburn. Martha was raised and educated in Saco. She was formerly employed at Biddeford Textile and later at the former International Woolen Co. of Sanford, retiring from there due to ill health. She and her husband enjoyed raising horses. She also enjoyed cooking. A resident of Lebanon for over 25 years, Martha is survived her husband of 28 years, Arthur Jowett, Sr.; three brothers, George Coburn and his wife Terry of Saco, Fred Coburn and his wife Ardis of Oceanview, CA and Henry McKeown and his wife Annie of Parsonsfield .Graveside and committal prayers will be conducted at 10:00 AM Tuesday July 15 at Oakdale cemetery, Sanford.
