Mark E. Roberts

Mark E. Roberts, 58, passed away on June 27, 2018, at Southern Maine Healthcare in Biddeford, after a long illness.He was born on July 23, 1959, to the late Norman and Leah (Smith) Roberts in Washington, DC. His family was a military family and moved around a lot. He did live in Sanford and attended locals, graduating from Sanford High School.After high school, Mark served in the U.S. Air force. Upon his return he attended college in Illinois to study aeronautics. Mark was a traveler and never lived stayed in one place for too long. He did love Maine, however, and settled here until his passing.He was employed at Shaw's Warehouse in Wells for over twenty years and worked until his health no longer permitted him to do so. Some of his interests were hunting and fishing. He was an all around outdoorsman.Mark was a kind man, and loved children and animals.Survivors include two sisters, Lisa Roberts, of Wells, and Sherry Voisine and her husband Jim, of Buxton, a nephew, Aaron Love and his wife Kristen, of Sanford, nieces, Cassie Love-Searles, and her husband Dale of Wells, and Renee Boston, and her husband Tyler, of Berwick, grand nieces and nephews, Zachary and Nicholas Love, Tracy Kimball, Timothy Love, Joseph Searle's, and Delilah Boston and many great great nieces and nephews. A time of visitation will be held on Monday, July 2, from 4:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M. with a Memorial Service at 6:00 P.M. at Carll-Heald & Black Funeral Home, 580 Main St., Springvale.
