Marjory Greenleaf

Marjory J. Greenleaf, 81, of Acton, died Wednesday, December 10, 2008 at the Greenwood Center in Sanford.Marjory was born in Reading, MA on December 29, 1926 to William and Mary (Quinn) Roberts and attended local schools. She had worked in the cafeteria at the Acton Elementary School. She was a simple woman who loved vegetable gardening, cooking and making quilts. For many years Marjory made quilts and raffled them off to raise money for St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital. Marjory enjoyed watching the birds around her house and always had food out for them to eat. She used to volunteer to help out at the polls during elections and had been a member of the Acton Fire Department Women's Auxiliary. She was a loving mother and grandmother and was always there to help her family when they were in need. She will be remembered as a kind and loving person and will be missed by her family and friends. Surviving are a daughter, Sherry Letourneau of Acton; a son, Jeff Greenleaf of Acton; a granddaughter, Jennifer Letourneau of Sanford; four brothers, Kenny, Don, Dick and Ron and a sister Claire.At Marjory's request, there will be no services. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be sent to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, Memorial and Honors Program, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1905.Arrangements are under the direction of Carll-Heald & Black Funeral Home in Springvale.To leave a message of condolence for the family, please click on the condolences tab to the left.
