Marion Murphy

Westbrook - Marion P. Murphy, 84, died on Saturday, October 27, 2018, at the Springbrook Center. Marion was born on May 6, 1934, in Portland, a daughter of the late Martin and Mary (Geary) Fagone. She grew up in Portland, and graduated from Portland High School, Class of 1952. After high school Marion worked at the telephone company for a few years, and met John Murphy. They married in St. Dominic's Parish in 1959 and raised their children. Marion will be remembered as a loving wife and mother, and an excellent cook of Italian food. The family would like to thank the staff at the Springbrook Center, and Dr. Erving and Dr. Kurlanski for their kind and compassionate care of Marion for the past year. Marion is survived by her husband, John Murphy of Westbrook; a daughter, Patrice Perreault of Portland; two sons, John Murphy and Patrick Murphy, both of Windham; a sister, Frances Tame of MA; a grandson, Joseph Perreault III; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins of MA; and cousin William Grant and his wife Jean of FL. A Funeral service will be held at 11AM on Tuesday, October 30, 2018, at the Conroy-Tully Walker Funeral Home, 172 State Street, Portland. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, South Portland.
