Marilyn B. Goodrich

Marilyn B. Goodrich, 66, of Sanford, passed away on Monday January 26, 2015, at the Portsmouth Regional Hospital. She was born in Springvale on January 28, 1948 a daughter of the late Alfred and Alice (Burbank) Binette. She graduated from Sanford High School. On November 8, 1969 she married Gary Goodrich in Springvale.Marilyn was a Notary Public and was a big part of the AMVETS Auxilary having served as president. She was also a member of the Legion Auxilary and the VFW Auxilary. She retired from the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard Yard where she had been employed with over 20 years of service. Before that she had worked in local shoe shops.She is predeceased by her parents, Alfred and Alice Binette, three brothers, Alfred, Bert and Danny, sister, Colleen Starkey.She is survived by her loving husband, Gary Goodrich of Sanford, two children, Gary Goodrich and Kelly Goodrich of Sanford, two grandchildren, Stephanie and Sarah Mercer and one great grandson. She is also survived by one sister, Glaydse Barraclough, two brothers, Richard and Rodney Binette.A funeral service will take place on Wednesday at 7:30PM at the Carll-Heald & Black Funeral Home, 580 Main Street, Sprinvale. Visiting hours will begin at 5PM until the time of the funeral service.Condolences may be expressed at www.blackfunrealhomes. A Celebration of her Life will take place on Sunday February 8th beginning at 12noon until 4PM at the AMVETS Post #3 in Sanford.
