Marie J. Adams

Marie J. Adams, 98, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 11, 2025 at The Landing at Cape Elizabeth, where she had resided for many years. Born on December 21, 1926 in Suffield, Connecticut, she was the 3rd daughter of George and Dorothy (Peters) Small. A brother arrived many years later. She spent her very early years in Palmer, Massachusetts, then the remainder of her youth in Digby, Nova Scotia. In 1950 she moved to Maine, making her home in the Springvale/Sanford area. She was a member of the Springvale First Baptist Church as well as the Order of the Eastern Star. Marie found great joy in the simple pleasures of life (cooking, knitting, homemaking, walking her dogs) with her beloved husband, Stephen H. Adams, who died in 1997. A graveside service will be held on Friday, October 24, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. at Oakdale Cemetery on Twombley Road in Sanford.
