Born on January 22, 1953, in Portland, Maine, Margo was the daughter of the late Alexander and Claire Grimaldi. She grew up on Munjoy Hill, where her boisterous personality and infectious laugh were well-known.
A proud graduate of Portland High School’s Class of 1971, Margo pursued her passion for caregiving by earning a nursing degree from Southern Maine Vocational Technical Institute (SMVTI). For over 40 years, Margo dedicated her life to helping others as a nurse, finishing her distinguished career at Ledgewood, where she also spent her final days. She retired just a year before her passing, leaving behind a legacy of compassion, generosity, and hard work.
Margo’s greatest joy was her family. She was a devoted wife, mother, and “Meme” to her grandchildren. Known for her giving spirit and ability to light up any room, she was loud and loving, always putting the needs of others before her own.

Joe and family,
I am sorry for your loss. Margo you will be missed. I will miss your smile and your laugh. Now you and my Dad can celebrate your birthday together once again. I remember the years you would call him or him you and wish each other a Happy Birthday or you would come to the house with your mom and dad for cake for you both.
Margo has been more like a sister to me than a friend for many many years. She will be missed so much.

Margo had a heart of gold. Loved her laughter and her smile. I was glad to have been able to care for her husband at our work when he needed skilled care. I sure will miss her. I can’t believe that she has passed.
Just by being true to herself and others.
Margo is it to early for Christmas music.
I am so sorry for your loss. Margo was a spit fire.

We were both nurses and also worked together at Centry21FirstCoice Realty. We had fun times together . She is missed.
Margo was was one of my many cousins. She was about 3 years older than I Growing up in the 1960’s she was a step ahead on whatever was cool. She was especially fond of the Beatles back then.
Our grandfather had a cottage at Hill’s Beach that the family would share through the summer. When it was her family’s turn I’d often spend the week with them. We were inseparable. It was like having a big sister. We had wonderful times with her parents and our Aunt Flo. Delightful memories to last a lifetime.
RIP Margo
Margo had aspirations to be on stage. I remember one Christmas when she got a stand up microphone and amplified speaker. She entertained the extended family at Christmas.
Margo was a joy to work with. We sat next to each other at Rheumatology Associates where we made each other laugh while getting our jobs done.
We had remained connected through social media over the years.
In her special way, she reached out to me and let me know how much she enjoyed our relationship when she realized how ill she was.
I will never forget her bravery in doing that.
Rest in Peace , dear friend.
