PORTLAND--Margaret Ann (Kelley) Pizzo, 75, of North Yarmouth died January 19, 2022, at Maine Medical Center with her loving family by her side. She was born December 27,1946, in Portland, a daughter of Richard M. Jr. and Alice (Blackburn) Kelley. She was a 1965 graduate of South Portland High School.
During her working life, Margee was a valued employee with LaCasse & Weston, Koch Industries, and the Department of Health and Human Services. She loved being near the water, reading, and animals, and she was a talented artist. She was known for her quick and wonderful wit. Margee especially adored her large, close-knit family, and she raised her youngest brother after the deaths of their parents. She was a devoted and proud grandmother.
Margee was predeceased by her parents; her life partner, Barbara Nasoni; and her brother, Joseph Kelley.
She is survived by her daughter, Kristin Pizzo FitzGerald and her husband Kristopher; her grandchildren, Jack and Clare FitzGerald; her sisters, Carol (Kelley) Westmoreland and her husband Wayne, Patricia (Kelley) Saunders, Elizabeth (Buffy Kelley) DeMatteis and her husband Don; her sister-in-law, Alice Tanous Kelley; her brothers, Richard Kelley and his wife Sharon, Edward Kelley and his wife Karen, Michael Kelley and his wife Laurie; Kristin's father Michael Pizzo and his wife Maria Trivellin; and fourteen beloved nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Wednesday, January 26, from 4:00 to 6:00 pm at the Conroy-Tully Walker South Portland Chapel, 1024 Broadway, South Portland. A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Holy Cross Church, 124 Cottage Road, South Portland on Thursday, January 27, at 10:00 am. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery, South Portland.
