After her retirement she volunteered for many years at the Mercy Hospital Gift Shop. Margaret was an enthusiastic fan of all sports. She enjoyed the ocean and in her early years her favorite swimming beaches were East End Beach and Higgins Beach. She was an avid reader and also enjoyed gardening, particularly when she and Frank lived in Falmouth.
