Marc R. Dugre
Marc R. Dugre, 59, of Sanford, passed away on Wednesday January 29, 2020 at the Gosnell Memorial Hospice House in Scarborough after a nine year battle with Alzheimers Disease. Marc was born in Sanford on May 30, 1960 a son of Ronald and Lorina (Lacroix) Dugre. He attended local schools and graduated from Sanford High School Class of 1978.Marc was employed by Sprague Electric for 20 years where he was a mechanic and group leader. Over the years he also held various work positons. One of them was with his good friend, Tim Lemay, operating and running an above ground pool installation business.For many years Marc touched the lives of many youth in our community thru his involvement in coaching sports programs. He went out of his way making sure that everyone was treated fairly. He never excluded anyone regardless of ability, talent or skills. At times when parents were committed to other family or work related duties Marc would make sure the kids had a ride to their practices or games. A man with a big heart he was also a role model and was honored by the parents on the children's behalf for all that he did. Marc also enjoyed the outdoors and was an avid hunter and fisherman.Marc is predeceased by his father, Ronald Dugre, his brother, David Dugre.He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Tricia (Coughlin) Dugre of Sanford, his mother, Lorina Dugre of Sanford, children, Dustin Dugre of Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, Peter Dugre and his partner, Lea Boyd of Ventura, CA, and Lucas Dugre and his wife, Lauren of Springvale, grandchildren, Hazel and Ozzy. He is also survived by his sister, Darlene Sprague and her husband, Corey of Portland as well as many nieces and nephews.Visiting hours for Marc will be held on Friday, February 7th from 4 to 7PM at the Carll-Heald & Black Funeral Home, 580 Main Street, Springvale. A funeral service will be held the following morning on Saturday at 10AM at the funeral home.In lieu of flowers donations may be made in his memory to the Sam L.
