Mabel A. Wallent

Mabel A. Wallent, 86, of Sanford, passed away at her residence in Sanford on Thursday, January 22, 2009. She was born in Shapleigh on November 19, 1921, a daughter of George and Daisy (Gilpatrick) Swinerton.She retired from M.B. Claps & Sons where she had been employed for many years.She is predeceased by her husband, Alphonse Wallent,, six sisters, Helen Contois, Elizabeth Pierce, Thelma Aucoin, Myrtle White, Gloria Daney and Esther Jolin.She is survived by one brother, Berkeley Swinerton and one sister, Margaret Webber as well as several nieces and nephews.A Graveside service will be held in the spring at the Evergreen Cemetery in Alfred.Arrangements are under the direction of the Carll-Heald & Black Funeral Home, 580 Main Street, Springvale.
