Lucille McCann

Lucille I. McCann, 100, of Sanford, died on Sunday, November 13, 2016 at home.She was born on August 2, 1916 in Sanford to Philippe and Celina (Normandeau) Couturier, where she grew up and attended local schools. On July 20, 1935 she married John R. McCann and they had two children. During her working life she worked at local mills as a mender.She enjoyed sewing and gardening.Lucille was predeceased by her husband, a son, John T. McCann, and three grandchildren.Survivors include a daughter, Janet Carter and her husband Alan of Sanford, three granddaughters, Jill Hall and her husband Alan, of Sanford, Kelly Pelchat and her husband Scott, of Alfred, Brenda Carter of Omaha Nebraska, eight grandchildren, and four great great grandchildren.The family would like to offer special thanks to friend and care giver Rhonda Conley and Hospice of Southern Maine. At the family's request, there will be no services.Arrangements are under the direction of Black Funeral Homes and Cremation Service, Sanford-Springvale.
