SANFORD Lucille A. Allaire 79 a life long resident of Sanford died Monday evening at the Newton Center following a long illness. She was born in Sanford August 13, 1927 a daughter of Arthur & Josephine (Ouellette) Brine. She attended the former St. Ignatius school and was a graduate of St. Ignatius Commercial High school class of 1946. Following high school, Mrs. Allaire moved to Washington, DC, where she lived and worked for three years. She moved back to Sanford and worked as a billing clerk for H.A. Mapes Oil, the former Nasson College and American Cyanamid (now CYRO), and later retired in the early 80's from Tennford Weaving Co.A faithful sports fan, she was an avid golfer and loved to watch tennis on TV, as well followed politics.She was a devoted Mom and Wife. So devoted that she waited for her daughters birthday to come before she passed on. Survivors are her husband of 52 years Robert Allaire, her daughter Debbie Allaire and son Steven Allaire all of Sanford, and her sister Carmen Boutin of Biddeford.A funeral mass will be celebrated at 11:00 AM Friday at St. Therse of Lisieux Parish, St. Ignatius Church.
