Louise Sprague

Louise J. Sprague, 92 years old, of Sanford, ME died on Saturday, December 1, 2007 at the Greenwood Center in Sanford.Louise was born in Acton, ME on October 10, 1915. She was the daughter of the late George and Winifred Lord Paul. She attended Lebanon Academy and the Nute High School in Milton, NH. For many years Louise worked at the Province Lake Country Club maintaining the Five Chimneys Victorian Home there.Louise spent most of her married life in Acton, ME and Effingham, NH. She moved to the Sanford area in 1997.Louise enjoyed tending to flowers and birds, crocheting, bingo, and working out a various assortment of puzzles. Above all, Louise enjoyed her home, and the company of her children, and many grandchildren.Predeceasing Louise is her husband Fred E. Sprague Sr., their son Richard, and her siblings.Surviving are two daughters, Mary Smart of Shapleigh, ME, Dorothy Bean of Leetonia, OH, a son Fred E. Sprague Jr. of Concord, NH, seven grandchildren, and many great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.At Louise's request funeral services will be held privately for the family.For those that desire to honor Louise, the family suggests memorials be made to the Greenwood Center, 1142 Main St., Sanford, ME 04073.
