Louise L. Graffam
Louise L. Graffam, 90, of Lyman, died on Monday, November 28, 2016 at the Gosnell Memorial Hospice House in Scarborough.Louise was born in Limington, Maine on June 4, 1926 to William and Minnie Lowell. In 1947 she married Donald Graffam and together they raised two children and shared 55 years of marriage until his death in 2003. During her working life she was employed at the local textile mills and shoe shops.Louise enjoyed crocheting, flower gardening and watching the birds and squirrels around her house. She also enjoyed cooking and baking, going dancing with her husband and loved the cats and dogs that she had as pets over the years. She had been a member of the East Waterboro Free Baptist Church, the Rebekahs and also belonged to a bowling league. She always had a fondness for blue skies and sunsets. Louise was devoted and loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who would do anything she could for her family. She would gladly open her home to anybody who needed a place to go. She will be dearly missed by all of her family and friends. Louise was predeceased by her daughter, Donna and by five siblings, Carl, Jenny, Raymond, Evelyn and Frankie.Surviving are two children, Bruce Graffam and his wife Patricia of Lyman and Deborah Hersey and her husband David of Lyman; six grandchildren, Tracey Bosse and her husband Mario, Gregory Graffam, Bradley Graffam, Jeremy Dube and his wife Nickole, Aaron Dube and his wife Abby and Matthew Dube and his wife Jen; 13 great-grandchildren, her niece, Marie Dale and her husband Jeff; her cousin, Mary Hamilton, her brother-in-law, Stephen Graffam and his wife Yvonne and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Wednesday, November 30th at the Lafrance-Lambert & Black Funeral Home located at 29 Winter Street in Sanford. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, December 1st at 11:00 AM.
