Louise C. Christopher

Louise C. Christopher, 72, of Springvale, died January 1 at the Gosnell Memorial Hospice House in Scarborough after a brief illness.She was born in Granby, Quebec, Canada on March 11, 1941, the daughter of Rosario A. and Simone Beauregard. She grew up in Central Falls, RI and was a 1958 graduate of Notre Dame High School. She lived on Nantucket for several years and settled in the Sanford area in 1979.She was a communicant of Notre Dame Church and a member of the Daughters of Isabella.Louise was a member of the Sanford Elks Lodge and member and past president of the Sanford VFW Auxiliary. She enjoyed crocheting, embroidering and puzzles.She was predeceased by a daughter Nadine Merrill in 1991 and by her husband, Melvin Christopher in 2012.Survivors include her daughter Monique Normandeau and her husband Roger of Springvale, Judy Coyle and her husband Chris of Springvale, brothers Rene Beauregard and Denny Beauregard, both of North Carolina, sister Jackie Lainhart of Lincoln, RI, 9 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.Relatives and friends are invited to call on Sunday from 5 to 8 PM at the Carll-Heald & Black Funeral Home, 580 Main Street, Springvale. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday at 11:00 AM at the Notre Dame Church of St. Therse of Lisieux Parish, 10 Payne Street, Springvale. Burial will be in the spring in Notre Dame Cemetery in Springvale.Arrangements are under the direction of Black Funeral Homes & Cremation Service, Sanford-Springvale.
