Louise Jeannette Callahan

SCARBOROUGH - Louise Jeannette Callahan, 96, died Jan. 29 at Gosnell Memorial Hospice House. Born April 2, 1917, in Berlin, N.H., to William E. and Mamie King Lemerise, she graduated from Berlin High School. After moving to South Portland, she worked for Paul Revere Life Insurance Company until her retirement in 1982. She also worked for the South Portland Housing Authority and was a member of the Holy Cross Church choir for many years. She is survived by her son, William J., her sister, Jeanne Jackson, both of South Portland, and many nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12:00 noon Monday at Holy Cross Church, 124 Cottage Road, South Portland.
