Lorraine Walsh

Lorraine Walsh, 79 of Springvale Maine, passed away on Sunday, January 8th surrounded by her family at her home. She was born on May 17, 1932, a daughter of the late Harry R. Rankin and Olive Rankin Jowett. Her husband of 48 years, Elmer Walsh died in 2000. She worked for Jagger Bros for many years, as well as working in nursing homes until the early 80's when she earned her C. N.A. and took a job with home health with VNS of Southern Maine until she retired in 1997. She is survived by her brother, Paul Rankin of Shapleigh, five sons and a daughter: David Walsh of Lebanon, Mike Walsh of East Lebanon, Jane Wentworth of Plymouth, NH., Larry Walsh of Fayetteville. NC, Patrick Walsh of Fayetteville, NC and Alan Walsh of Springvale. She has 20 Grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren, and 4 great -great grandchildren.Lorraine's first love was Jesus, her lord and savior. Her love of the outdoors included gardening, birds and cultivating flowers. The ocean was where she often found peace and solace.
