Lorilda A. Harvey

Lorilda "Lou" A. Harvey, 94, of Sanford, died on Tuesday, March 3, 2009 at Greenwood Center in Sanford.Lou was born in Livermore Falls on May 20, 1914 to Frank and Antoinette (Goupil) Pelchat. When she was young her family moved to Saco where she was raised and attended local schools. During World War II she worked at the naval shipyard in South Portland as a welder. She also worked for several summers as a chambermaid in Old Orchard Beach. In 1973, she and her husband moved to Sanford. Lou had been a member of St. Ignatius Church in Sanford and was also a member of the Ladies of St. Anne. Lou will be remembered as a very nice and deeply religious woman. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.Lou was predeceased by her first husband, Edward Morin; her second husband, Leo Harvey; two brothers, Emile and Henry Pelchat and two sisters, Yvonne Boucher and Alma Muise.She is survived by her sister, Diana Fournier of Sanford; a close friend, Roger Libby of Sanford and several nieces and nephews.An hour of visitation will be held from 10:00 to 11:00 AM with funeral prayers starting at 10:45 on Thursday, March 5th at the Lafrance-Lambert & Black Funeral Home, 29 Winter Street in Sanford.
