Lisa Gauvreau, 53, of Sanford, lost her battle with lung cancer Monday November 6th 2017. She passed away peacefully at home surrounded by loved ones. Lisa was born in Sanford, to Louis Gauvreau and Barbara Welch on June 14th 1964. She went to Sanford High School and graduated in 1994. Before her illness she worked as a press operator at the Journal Tribune in Biddeford for several years and also at William Arthur for 8 years. She enjoyed spending time with her grandkids. She always said they were her reason for fighting for as long and as hard as she did. In her spare time she played on a darts team at the Saco Eagles with her loving boyfriend David Hall. She also enjoyed spending time outside and by the water. She was a fan of NASCAR and made it to many races to support her favorite driver, Carl Edwards. She is preceded in death by her father, Louis Gauvreau.She is survived by her partner, David Hall of Sanford, her 5 children, Joshua Hood of Brewer, Jason Hood of Waterboro, Jewell Tomow of Spring Hill Florida, Amber Lesperance of Sanford and Anthony Lesperance of Sanford, her brothers, Raymond Gauvreau of Lebanon and Albert Gauvreau of Kennebunk, her mother Barbara Welch of Newport, Vermont, her grandchildren Anthony, Xavier, Stephan, Aiden H, Charlize, Taylor, Aiden T, Ryeleigh, Gauge, Hunter, Alyscia, Bentley and Tony, several aunts, uncles, cousins and 1 niece.Also surviving are a few close friends, Samantha Levesque of Sanford, Betty Healy of Sanford, Wyatt Rufus of Sanford and Tiffany Putnam of Sanford. The family would like to give a special thanks to Dr. Ruben and the other caregivers at Cancer Care of Sanford and VNA Home Health. On Tuesday November 14th at Oakdale Cemetery there will be a private burial ceremony for family and close friends. On Saturday November 18th there will be a Celebration of Life at 52 Airport Rd. in Sanford at 1:00 PM. All family and friends are welcome to join. Bring your favorite dish and your memories of Lisa.
