Linden D Goodrich

Linden D. Goodrich, 65, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 24, 2022. Linden was born on October 3, 1956, the 11th of 12 children of John and Sophie (Bobchick) Goodrich. He was born at home in Sanford where he grew up and was a lifelong resident. He attended and graduated from Central School. Being a social person, he was a proud member of the "True Fans of Elvis Club" and looked forward to meetings and parties. He also loved to march in the 4th of July parade. He had many great memories of Camp Sunshine and continued to be active and raise money for them so that everyone could enjoy time there. He loved to be on stage, making people laugh and entertaining as an Elvis impersonator. He also played the drums and took every opportunity to play "Wipeout". He was also a great swimmer and liked to go to the YMCA. Linden was a huge country music fan and saw Roy Orbison with his brother Gary eight times. He was able to remember songs and who sang them, where they played and recorded, and what dates they did so. Linden was always blowing a horn to make his friends and family laugh! He was their "King of Rock and Roll!", and the closest they would ever come to the real Elvis Presley! Linden enjoyed a life of love! He loved animals, especially kitty cats, loved people especially all the pretty women! He loved riding his 3-wheel bicycle, loved playing pool, returning bottles with his brother Dan, visiting, and walking with his oldest sister "Soso", feeding birds, watching wheel of fortune, doing the daily jumble, and robbing blueberries out of his brother Wayne's Garden! Linden loved to put a smile on people's faces! He was the universe in his family's life and will be sadly missed by all, but Elvis...move over cause Linden has entered the building! He is predeceased by his parents, a brother, Alan Goodrich, his nephew Johnny and niece Sheena. Survivors include his siblings John F. Goodrich (Cindy), Sophie Williams, Ronnie Goodrich, Danny Goodrich, Noella (Jerry) Howard, Gary Goodrich, Sylvia (Ed) Marquette, Ansie Stuart, Wayne Goodrich, and Philip (Samantha) Goodrich, nieces and nephews, Brian, Lori, Christine, Bob, Sandy, Ronoh, Tanya, Crystal, Delmont, Linda, Darleen, Gary, Kelly, Brooks, Brandice, Shannon, Heather, Holly, Andy, Alexis, special family friend Roxanne Hatch, and many extended family members and dear friends. Relatives and friends are invited to a time of visitation on Friday, March 4, 2022, from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at Carll-Heald & Black Funeral Home, 580 Main St., Springvale. A funeral service will be held on Saturday March 5, at 10:00 A.M. also at Carll-Heald & Black Funeral Home. The burial and a celebration of life at the Amvets will be held later this spring. The family would like to give a special thanks to the health care workers at RiverRidge Rehab in Kennebunk, SMMC and the Pinnacle Rehab center in N. Berwick for all their help.
