Linda Lavigne

Linda M. Lavigne, 74, of Sanford died on Friday, February 4, 2022, at Gosnell Memorial Hospice House in Scarborough. She was born on December 16, 1947, the daughter of Harold and Mildred (Clary) Kendall in Massachusetts and resided there until 1988 when she moved to Maine to finish raising her boys. She married Albert Lavigne in June of 2000 and together they shared many happy years. Together they spent a lot of time driving around in Maine. In the fall they would go all the way north to Chesuncook Lake where they would hunt partridge. Linda liked to fish and was known to catch some great salmon. She also took art classes where she learned to paint and draw and was quite good at landscapes. One of her favorite places to paint was Mr. Katahdin. Linda also enjoyed going for rides to Old Orchard beach and visiting lighthouses. She was always out exploring with her husband. When her health declined it prevented her from getting our and she spent her time at home at Lavigne's Farm. She is survived by her husband of over 21 years, Albert Lavigne of Sanford, her sons Robert LePage of Sanford and Brian Lepage and his wife Meg of Granby, MA, sisters Carol Lee Ferris and her husband Jerry of Kennebunk and Joanne, and grandchildren Cote, Gwen, and Tommy Lepage. A time of visitation will be held on Friday, February 18, 2022, from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at Lafrance-Lambert & Black Funeral Home, 29 Winter St., Sanford. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Saturday, February 19 at 11:00 A.M. at St. Therese of Lisieux Parish, Holy Family Church, 66 North Ave, Sanford. Burial will be held at Southern Maine Veterans Memorial Cemetery in the spring. Arrangements are under the direction of Black Funeral Homes and Cremation Service, Sanford-Springvale.
