Lillian M Crepeau
June 6, 1924 ~ May 7, 2018
Yarmouth- Lillian Mary Crepeau, 93, formerly of Cumberland, Rhode Island, passed away quietly at her home at Bay Square in Yarmouth, Maine on Monday, May 7, 2018, surrounded by family and caregivers that helped make the last years of her life with Alzheimer's, good ones.
Lillian was born in Woonsocket, Rhode Island on June 6, 1924, the daughter of the late John B. and Caroline (Prestnik) Authelet. She attended local schools and graduated, with honors, from Woonsocket High School in the class of 1942, where she was also the head cheerleader and voted best dancer.
On August 6, 1949 she married Lucien W. Crepeau at the Church of the Precious Blood in Woonsocket. Together, Lucien and Lillian made their home and raised their family in Rhode Island. Lillian's energy and sense of humor served her family well through a series of moves, as her husband climbed the Gulf Oil corporate ladder. When not building and getting settled into a new home, Lillian enjoyed gardening, her cats, and could roll a bowling ball like a pro, a sport she enjoyed well into her 80's.
Lillian was predeceased by her husband, Lucien William Crepeau; a cherished aunt and uncle, Jennie and Joseph Prestnik; a brother, John B. Authelet; aunts, Mary Roman, Elizabeth Tessier, and Ida N. Boudreau; uncle, Emile Boudreau; grandfathers Martin Prestnik and John B. Authelet; grandmothers Anna (Jeryk) Prestnik and Felice (Gerard) Authelet. She is survived by a son, Mark and his wife Joanne Crepeau of Portland; a daughter, Cheryl and her husband Jimmie Cobb of Lenoir, NC; four grandchildren, Katie and her husband Bryan Elliot of Lenoir, NC, Matthew and his wife Caitlin Crepeau of Biddeford, Jessica Cobb of Brook Neal, VA, and Michelle Crepeau of Beauford, NC; two great grandchildren, Addison Elliott of Lenoir, NC and Ellie Mae Cobb of Brook Neal, VA.
