Leonel R. Allaire
Leonel R. Allaire, 88, of Sanford, passed away on Monday July 30, 2012 at the HD Goodall Hospital. He was born in Sanford on May 10, 1924 a son of the late Damase and Laura (Grondin) Allaire.He served in the US Army during WWII. When he returned from the war he worked for 37 years at Genest Concrete. He then joined his son at Ron Allaire Construction and worked along with Ron and his two sons, Lee and Lance. Leonel was old fashioned when it came to work ethic. He was an outdoors type of guy till the end. The most important things in his life was family. He (Pepere) especially liked sitting on the couch with his great grandchildren watching Disney shows. He really enjoyed kidding back and forth both at work and at home with his grandsons Lee and Lance.Leonel is predeceased by his wife of many years, Giselle (Mathieu) Allaire as well as nine brothers and sisters.He is survived by his son, Ron Allaire and his wife, Sandra of Sanford, grandsons, Lee Allaire of Sanford, Lance Allaire and his wife, Kristin of Waterboro, two very special great grandchildren, Jacob and Stella Allaire of Waterboro, sisters, Lorraine Laitres and her husband, O'Neil of Sanford, Doris Daigle of Sanford as well as many nieces and nephews.The family would like to thank in a special way Sanford rescue and the personnel at Goodall Hospital that cared for Leonel during his time there.A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Saturday at 11AM at St. Therese of Lisieux Parish, Notre Dame Church in Springvale.
