Leo B. Leclerc, 87, of Springvale, passed away on Tuesday January 29, 2013 at the Newton Center in Sanford. He was born in Sanford on April 17, 1925 a son of the late Raphael and Diana ( Roy) Leclerc. He graduated from Sanford High School. He then served in the US Navy during WWII. After the war he attended the University of Maine Orono and graduated from Columbia University with a Masters Degree in 1952.For many years he was employed by J.P. Morgan in New York City. After retirement he moved back to Sanford. He was a communicant of the parish and a member of the Knights of Columbus. In his retirement years he spent many winters with his wife in Florida. He enjoyed playing bingo, loved listening to jazz, and was an ardent New York Yankees fan.He is predeceased by his first wife, Joan (Lewicki) Leclerc.He is survived by his wife, Irene (Roux) Leclerc of Springvale, children, Janice Derose of McHenry, Illinois, Jeffrey Leclerc of Gilbert, Arizona, stepchildren, Lynne McDougal of Springvale, Bruce Bolger of Kennebunkport, Gayle Ballou of Rutland, Vermont, Laurie Sirois of Sanford, two grandsons, six stepchildren, two great great grandchildren, one sister, Jeannine Landry of Salem, NH, two brothers, J. Bernard Leclerc of Sanford, Gilbert Leclerc of Talmadge, Ohio.A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday at 10AM at St. Therese of Lisieux Parish, Holy Family Church in Sanford.
