Laura M. Bicknell

Laura M. Bicknell, 88, of Shapleigh, passed away on Thursday July 3, 2008 at the H.D. Goodall Hospital in Sanford. She was born in East Natick, MA on June 2, 1920, a daughter of Lester and Frances (Worden) Bicknell. She attended local schools in Natick.In 1943 she enlisted in the U.S. Navy. Her career spanned 20 years as a mechanic and photographer until her retirement in 1963. She was then active in the reserves until 1973. She was a communicant of Holy Family where she served as Eucharistic Minister.She is predeceased by one brother, Herbert R. Bicknell. She is survived by one daughter, Terry Bicknell of Shapleigh, one brother, George Bicknell of CT., one sister, Frances Berry of MA.A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday July 9th at 11am at St. Therse of Lisieux Parish- Holy Family Church in Sanford.
