Lance L. Polcaro Jr, 36, of Limerick, passed away on Saturday, May 11, 2019 at Maine Medical Center in Portland, after a brief illness. He was born on September 29, 1982, the son of Lance and Deborah (Hanright) Polcaro in Sanford. He grew up in Newfield and attended the Line School and Massabesic High School, graduating in 2001.Upon graduating high school, Lance went into the full time apprentice program at the Portsmouth Naval Ship Yard. He has been employed there for the past 18 years and was currently a General Foreman. He was an avid New England sports fan. He enjoyed being outdoors and riding in his side by side.Lance was part of a close knit family, and he enjoyed spending time with them. However, his greatest joy came from being a father to his daughter Emily. He was an amazing dad and it was known by all who knew him.He was a great young man, and will be dearly missed by all.He is predeceased by two grandmothers, Sandra Hanright and Liz Polcaro.Survivors include his 5 year old daughter Emily Polcaro, his parents Lance Sr. and Deborah Polcaro of Newfield, his brother Michael Polcaro, of Newfield, his grandfathers, George Hanright and his wife Roberta of South Berwick, Frank Polcaro and his wife Claire of Titusville, FL, his aunt Lisa Parent and her husband David, of Newfield, his aunt Suzy Polcaro, of Limerick, his uncle Tom and his wife Joanne of Limerick, Emily's mother, Courtney Thayer, and cousins Jennifer Smith, Erin Levesque, and Shane and Jason Perry and Ben Polcaro.Friends and relatives are invited to a time of visitation on Friday, May 24, 2019 from 4:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M., with a memorial service at 6:00 P.M. at Carll-Heald & Black Funeral Home, 580 Main St., Springvale.Arrangements are under the direction of Black Funeral Homes and Cremation Service, Sanford-Springvale.To leave a message of condolence click condolence tab at left.
