L. Charles Collette
L.Charles Collette 65, of Clermont Florida died Tuesday, December 9, 2014, from complications from correcting aortic aneurysm. Leonard Charles Collette better known as "Charlie" was born in Sanford Maine on October 22, 1949 to Leonard and Theresa (Arsenault) Collette. Charlie grew up in Sanford where he attended local schools. He enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1968 being stationed in Virginia, Germany and Long Bin, Vietnam. Charlie earned his GED while serving in the U.S. Army and after being honorably discharged in 1971, he enrolled in the apprenticeship program with the IBEW local 490 Dover New Hampshire. After graduating and receiving his electrical license, Charlie worked construction in New England area; until his retirement in 2011. Charlie was an avid member of two of his favorite organizations:The Nam Knights motorcycle club which raises money to help veterans. His second organization was AA (alcoholics anonymous). He was predeceased by his parents Leonard and Theresa and a grand nephew Jesse. Surviving are his wife Noella Roy Collette formally of Biddeford; three brothers Maurice his wife Cece, Richard his wife Jeanne,Tom his wife Melissa. Two wonderful sisters Rachel Burbank her husband Ricky and Connie Brine her husband Tom. Many nieces, nephews and grandnephews/niece. Also four stepchildren: Marc Gobeil, Audrey Lovejoy, Beverly Charette and Kevin Gobeil, several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A memorial service is scheduled June 26, 2015 at 11am at the Southern Maine Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Springvale.
