Keith James Andersen, age 59, died at his home in Sanford, Maine on May 29, 2016.Born July 15, 1956 in Concord, Massachusetts, he lived most of his life in Concord and Acton and then moved to Sanford, Maine in 2000. He attended Concord-Carlisle High School in the early 1970's and later earned his GED from the Sanford High School.He was passionate about music, always listening to and writing songs. As lead singer with several bands, he performed around New England. Keith was a collector of toys, music and sports memorabilia which led to his co-ownership of A & B Collectibles in Maynard, MA. He was a very good cook and said that his favorite job was chef at a nursing home because he loved working with the elderly. Keith was also a lifelong baseball fan; collecting cards, playing softball in a Concord men's league, and faithfully rooting for the Red Sox every season.He shared his house with his daughter, Jennie, who spent as much time with him as possible and he always had one or two dogs and cats, often including an animal he had rescued.Survivors include his daughter, Jennie Marie Larson of Portsmouth, New Hampshire, a son, Jaycen DeNorscia of Marlborough, Massachusetts, a sister, Jean Bailey and her husband John of Washington, a niece, Melissa Tokstad and her husband Kevin of Oregon, a nephew John Bailey and his wife Una of Vancouver, Washington, and several cousins. Keith was preceded in death by his parents James and Margaret Andersen and by his brother, Kent Andersen.A private graveside service will be held at Sleepy Hollow Cemetery in Concord, Massachusetts where he will be buried next to his parents and brother. The family suggests that anyone wishing to leave a memorial in Keith's name donate to a local animal shelter of their choice.Arrangements are under the direction of Black Funeral Homes and Cremation Service, Sanford-Springvale.To leave a message of condolence for the family please click on the condolences tab to the left.
