June Broomhall, 75, of North Waterboro passed away at the Greenwood center on Thursday, January 31, 2013 after a long struggle with Multiple Sclerosis.June was born in Portland on January 19, 1938 to Elwyn and Virginia (Bartlett) Owen. June was employed as a supervisor for W.T. Grant in Connecticut for ten years. After returning to Maine she was the "Avon Lady" in her area for many years.June was a loving mother and was always willing to help her children, siblings or friends whenever they needed a hand. She had a strong belief in the precepts of the Bible and this was clearly evident in her life.June was predeceased by two husbands, Raymond Day and Alfred Broomhall.Surviving are her son, Bruce day of North Waterboro; a grandson, Jacob Day and Jacob's mother, Susan Day, both of Anaheim, California; five siblings, Mac Owen; Forrest (Woody) Owen of North Waterboro, Fred Owen of Waterboro, Ralphene Hebert of Topsham and Elwyn Owen of North Berwick; two foster girls, Ruby and Mahlene and ten nieces and ten nephews. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, February 16th at the Hollis Center Baptist Church located at 388 Hollis Road in Hollis Center.
